3000 Bäume pflanzen durch Spenden

Our partnership with Eden Reforestation Projects allows us to donate a part of our income from every purchase for the planting of trees. Thus, we can hereby announce that 3000 trees will be planted for all customers from the previous year. Read more about our tree planting partnership and learn how you can also plant trees for charity with your business.

Plant at least one tree for every purchase!

A positive impact on our environment is extremely important to us! Thankfully, digital business models like ours offer a lot of opportunities to get involved with environmental protection.

Thus, we have decided last year to become a “planting partner” of Eden Reforestation Projects – a 501c3 non-profit from California whose mission is to provide fair wage employment to impoverished villagers as agents of global forest restoration. They hire the poorest of the poor to grow, plant, and guard to maturity native species forest on a massive scale. Their “Employ to Plant” methodology results in a multiplication of positive socio-economic and environment measures. Eden Reforestation Projects is a trusted partner for many businesses worldwide. Even the popular eco-friendly search engine Ecosia is one of their planting partners.

How does the tree planting per purchase work?

Or in other words: How can you plant trees for every order with your own business, too? It’s simple! Every time a service is purchased on our platform, we donate a part of the amount to Eden Reforestation Projects. Our partner will use this donation for reforestation and the restauration of forests globally. In our case, donations go to reforestation projects in Kenya, Mozambique, and Madagascar.

More on how to plant trees with your company as well as other useful & sustainable tools for online shops can be found on our partner site:

Continuing, we want to plant one tree for each purchase of our Country-Service and 10 trees for each purchase of our Europe-Service. Of course, this rule also applies to all subscription renewals.

Why it is important to plant trees

Major wildfires in rain forests have caused turmoil in recent years. Even without wildfires, though, the clearance of forests by humans across the globe has had a negative impact on the earth’s carbon cycle and is driving climate change. It should therefore be our common goal to counter this development and plant new trees!

Trees store CO2, produce oxygen, and improve air- as well as water-quality. They counter erosion and thereby protect cities and villages from landslides or flooding. Furthermore, healthy forests provide habitat for a vast array of endangered animals.

Eden Reforestation Projects does not only plant trees, they also guard the trees to maturity and provide long-term protection of healthy forests. Internationally, they have already planted more than 400 million trees – which will soon be joined by the 3000 trees which you – our customers – have made possible.

Besides the positive impact on nature, the reforestation projects also offer jobs in the poorest regions on earth. By hiring people from local impoverished communities, Eden Reforestation Projects aim to alleviate extreme poverty and save lives. As our profile shows, our donations have so far created 30 days of work. The alleviation of poverty is one of the core principles of the organization.

Update January 2022: For all purchases of 2021 we were able to plant an additional 3397 trees. This equals approximately 34 working days.

Update January 2023: For all purchases of 2022 we were able to plant 7372 more trees.
